Unit 12 elk management group would like to thank you for your interest in the trophy elk hunting service we provide. We offer fair chase hunts on strictly private land ranches in one of the best "high demand" units in south western New Mexico for trophy elk. We scout all our ranches as early as possible to provide you with the best opportunity to harvest the trophy animal of a lifetime.
Our private ranches in our "high demand" unit have consistently produced trophy bulls in the 350 class and above. This area has produced several B&C bulls gross scoring well into the 400’s and with the average herd bull scoring in the 350 class and above this area certainly speaks for itself.
We enjoy a very high shot opportunity percentage for bow and rifle season on our private land elk leases. This is due to the continued upgrades of elk enhancement via the planting of rye grass fields, repairing of water holes, monitoring of game trail cameras and most importantly trophy management, letting the 320’s walk. This and a very conservative hunting method will and has assured many hunters a hunt for trophy class animals.

The quality of bulls in this area is trophy class from Sept through Dec. These are resident elk herds. We scout these elk from Aug through December on our private ranches and with the limited tags issued to this area and to our private ranches the hunting pressure is very low and the opportunity to harvest trophy class elk from Sept through Dec is very realistic.
