At Spey Creek Trophy Hunting, our goal is your dream hunt! We customize your New Zealand Hunting Adventure so that you will experience the hunt of a lifetime. We cater to your needs and desires to accomplish this goal.
SCTH offers both game estate and free range hunting on our privately owned ranch near beautiful Kaikoura. We suggest that you bring a flat shooting rifle no smaller than a .270 caliber. Most shots are less than 150 yards, but they may be as far as 300 yards. A box of ammunition (20 rounds) should be plenty for your hunt, but it’s best to bring two boxes just in case you decide to add trophies.
SCTH provides hunts on foot, in four-wheel drive vehicles, and/or by helicopter. New Zealand terrain is steep, so you’ll enjoy your hunt more if you’re in good shape. But don’t worry. We guarantee an opportunity for trophy game to ALL clients. As we said, SCTH will customize hunts to meet our clients’ needs.

Accommodation
Located on the Northeast coast of the South Island, approximately 45 minutes from Kaikoura, SCTH Ranch is in the hills above the Spey Creek Valley. The lodge was completed in 2007 from timber grown and milled here on the ranch. It is a four bedroom, four bath, three thousand square foot luxury lodge. Richly furnished, with luxurious bedrooms, private tiled bathrooms, king-sized feather beds, down comforters - you'd never guess you're roughing it at a hunting lodge! Enjoy the spectacular views of the snow capped mountains and the Pacific Ocean while watching the magnificent Red Stag! The lodge and property often unparalleled sights, beauty and quality.
The guest bedrooms are lavishly appointed, each with its own ensuite bathroom. Sit on the deck and watch as the myriad game of the region graze almost at your feet.
